Snow Fever I

　　Instructions

　　Snow Fever will send chills up and down your spine.Only your knowledge of

　　the negative forms of the PRESENT PROGRESSIVE and SIMPLE PRESENT

　　verb tenses will decide whether or not your nightmare will come true.

　　1.Read the sentence at the bottom of the page.

　　2.Click on the snowman which has the correct words that complete the

　　sentence.You will hit the snowman with a snowball.

　　3.If you are right，the temperature in the thermometer will start to rise.

　　4.If you are wrong，the snowman with the correct answer will chill your heart.

　　5.There are 10 sentences in each game.

　　6.To win the game and melt your bad dreams away，you must make fewer than 5 mistakes.

　　PRESENT PROGRESSIVE vs. SIMPLE PRESENT(NEGATIVE STATEMENTS)

　　Please note that in conversations these verb forms are often shortened，

　　a.Something that is not happening now.-“Right now we are not speaking to each other.”

　　b.Future plans that have been canceled.-“He is not going to New York next Tuesday.”

　　2.We use the negative form of the SIMPLE PRESENT to talk about：

　　a.Things that are true-“I don’t speak German.”

　　b.Actions that are not done regularly(with such words as usually，often，

　　sometimes)-“Usually I do not go to the opera，but today I will go.”
